This fall season of CIO forums is going to be a great one. We have a lineup of speakers that is sure to please all of our attendees. If you are on the fence about signing up to attend a CIO forum, read on!
Since 2001, Premier Connects (originally Premier Event Management) has aimed to be a trusted source for CIOs and IT leaders. For 16 years, we have put on the Premier CIO Forum in cities around the country, tapping into the technology needs and trends of the region. We have tailored each event to these regional needs, as opposed to copying and pasting the same thing across the nation.
This spring has seen Premier go through a lot of changes and evolution. We are so excited by everything that has happened and everything that is to come. We will always be committed to providing high-quality forums though great attendees, sponsors, speakers, and topics. We adapt, we listen, and we strive to always not only be in the business of events, but in the business of connecting people with great ideas. With that being said, here is what we’ve been up to for the last several months.
Television and movies always seem to paint tech in the same way. The tech nerd sits in his or her dark office, explaining the problem at hand rapidly, and then someone else says “in English please!”, regardless of how easy or difficult it is to understand the explanation. The “hacker” presses a few buttons on their keyboard, the computer beeps a little bit, and then… “I’m in.”
It is well known that sales and marketing departments have had a long history of not getting along perfectly. It all stems from these two departments having sometimes very different goals, and their methods not always making sense to the other. Sales and marketing have a lot to learn from each other, so here are 5 things that marketing wants to tell sales!
Why does Premier Connects refer to its conferences as “forums”? It’s not just because the word sounds nice. It was picked for a great reason and we feel that the title is more than appropriate.
Social media is an integral part of any business, and this is only more true in the events industry. A live event means that live posting is a possibility, and there are entirely different experiences before and after the show. It is a chance to market to a captive audience once the event is on.
March has left us behind, and with it so has the Boston CIO Forum! Held on March 21 at the Westin Waltham Boston, this first forum has inspired us to keep on pushing to make great events. If the first event of the season sets the tone for the other upcoming events, then we can be satisfied. The Boston CIO Forum was an incredible success, not only from our perspective but also from the perspective of everyone involved.
Premier Event Management, based out of Portland, OR, is known for putting on the Premier CIO Forum in over 15 cities around the country every year. As such, all of Premier’s branding has been under the moniker of “Premier CIO”. Recently, Premier has adopted a number of other events other than the CIO Forum, and as such the company feels that a new brand and name is in order. From now on, Premier Connects will take the place of Premier CIO as the main name and branding on Premier Event Management.
